I want tell you about my last vacations.
I was in Cartagena with Agustin. We were very happy because our trip was very relaxed. We went to the sea, we wolked in the old city and visited some relatives. We ate, slept, singed, danced and enjoyed all moments!!!

Thank for your letter. I want tell you about my family. My family is very big!!!, it is made up of my parents, nine daughters and eighteen grand children. Many of my relatives are very young. Most people in my family are working. Nearly all my nieces and nephews are studying.

I like to exercise!!!

I like to exercise for my healt. I usually practice eliptic bicycling twenty minutes a day. I do stretching exercise. I often practice Chi Kung and Tai Chi, these activities are very nice, and I practice it with my husband. I want to try to practice parachuting and table tennis.
The sport I the most like is swimming.
I really dont like boxing and soccer!!!!

Biography of Toto la Momposina

Toto la Momposina belongs to the fourth generation of a family devoted to music. She learned to dance and to sing as a child. Her father was a percussionist and her mother was a singer and a dancer. In 1964 with her parents and brothers conforms her first ensemble. In 1982 she went to Stockholm, Sweden, to accompany Gabriel García Márquez to receive the Nobel Prize in Literature.

Her music combines African and indigenous elements as it happened during the time of Spanish colonization in America. A lot of rhythms were born of this fusion. The most representatives are called: gaita, cumbia, porro, chalupa, sexteto and mapalé.

She did her first recording in France in 1983. In 1991 she did participate in both the Cervantes Festival in Guanajuato and the Festival of Caribbean Music in Cancun. That same year she was invited by WOMAD (World Music Arts and Dance), the foundation of Peter Gabriel, for the Real World label to record "La Candela Viva" album, released in 1993. In 1992 she represented Colombia in the Seville’s World Fair in Spain.
In 2002, she was nominated for the Latin Grammy Awards in the Best Traditional Tropical Album category for Gaitas y Tambores album.

Description of my famiy

Herminda and Jesus are my parents. They have nine children. I am the nineth of their children. I have eight nieces and nine nephews. My parents have seventeen grand children and five great grand children. I have one aunt, she lives with us, her name is Ines, she is my mother's sister.
I am married. My husband's name is Agustin. He is also an artist. He works for Universidad de Antioquia. We are very happy because we are waitting for a baby.
